I am a graduate student in Integrative Biology at Berkeley, in the Sousa Lab. My research looks at the ecology and distribution of a species of algae in the marine intertidal, Pelvetiopsis limitata. This species is very common on the California coast. I look at how climate affects the species’ growth and survival at multiple live history stages. I’m also using mathematical models to see how climate change might affect its distribution in the future.
I have a strong interest in sharing my love of science with the public, through teaching and writing about science for a broad audience.
